Oh and my skimmer is dead too :(

Thanks guys!

I kind of want to go even more minimalist with the rocks, but those corals are pretty grown on there, so we'll see.

Yep, pump just died on me. I think I'll get a whole new skimmer at this point, it's been so unreliable the last few months. Unfortunately I'm out of town for 10 days, nice timing

I'm moving away from rock because it's just a detritus trap. I've started to use marinepure ceramic media in my sumps.

are you sure you even need a skimmer? most nanos can get by without them so long as you keep up with water changes.

Hello ! nice tank but I have to ask, what the heck is that tadpole looking fish??!?

He is a Caribbean red clingfish. I adore him. I think I am going to name him Puppy. He RUNS to my finger immediately if I put it in the water.

I have only ever seen them on divers den, that's where I got him. I highly recommend them!

Thanks for all the kind words guys!

Great tank! How are you satisfied with the build quality of the tank and stand?

So the tank itself I love. If I had to do it over I think is buy a similar more mainstream tank that has more mods made for it. Like I really want an InTank media basket and it has been like a 4 month delay for them to make it. Soon hopefully. But overall the tank is great.

The CADlights skimmer is worthless. Worked great for a few months, now the pump is dead and it wasn't making reliable skim for the last few months.

Hi Katie, I've been away from RC but it looks like your reef is doing fine. How's the clam?

Back in Feb I scrambled all the links to my build thread pictures so I will be starting that over. I will welcome your posts if you do so incline.

Well I just moved, so that was sort of a nightmare involving all the corals and fish in a large plastic container on my new apartment floor for about half a day with the mp10 hooked up to it ghetto-style.

But! I sustained no losses! And it seems everything is doing as well as ever.

Since using an auto feeder with NLS pellets almost exclusively my nuisance algae has almost completely gone away, corals are thriving, fish seem well.

Here is the clam, he has now attached himself to this rock and zoas are starting to grow on his base, I'm not sure if that's bad, but he sure looks great.

I didn't even notice til looking at the picture now that the little dragonface pipefish has poked his head into the picture to say hello. He still seems to be doing good too.

I would move the clam away from the polyps. They will eventually grow all over the clam shell and make it impossible to prune without stressing out the clam. Nice looking tank.

Yes, well... I didn't do that. And you're right, they definitely grew up on it. Not causing any problems right now, but... We'll see
