Question: :hmm5:
I have a 180g bowfront with LR, corals, and 10 fish. Years ago I purchased an ASM-G2 protein skimmer. The pump has gone out (the second pump in approx 5 years). I haven't kept up with the skimmer market these days.
The frugal side of me says "buy a new pump and move on", but the reefer in me says "it doesn't hurt to ask". (Yes, the AMS-G2 skimmed well however, I don't have a reference as this is my first and only skimmer).
Would you simply replace the pump @ $80-100 or consider a new skimmer?
