Hi all,
I have been thinking about getting a Linckia - either a blue, or a smaller maroon one.
My tank is a 125G that's been up for a little over a year (but it was an upgrade from my 2 older, smaller tanks, so most of the rock is about 4 yrs old).
My tank is mixed reef, with quite a bit of SPS, so I have been dosing vodka to keep my DOC's in check (and allow me to feed more).
My question is this -
would I be putting a Linckia in a less than ideal environment if I added them to a tank with a vodka dosing regimen? Supposedly the theory behind the dosing is an increase in bacterial population to consume the nitrates and phosphates present.
I am about the farthest thing from a scientist possible, so any insight is much appreciated.
