Keeping a pair of Potter's Angels

Ok, I've got a 115 that is 6ft long. I already have a Potter's Angel that is doing great (although it doesn't eat any prepared foods for its life). I read somewhere (obvious in a Potter's Angel thread) that someone had a pair of Potters'. I read that males have less blue than the females. I have a Hawaii theme in my tank with only fish and inverts directly from Hawaii with the exception of corals (of course). Please let me know who you are and what did you do. I think it was KIMO. I'm not 100% sure.

TIA.

Its the other way around, males are more dark (black / blue) then the femals which have generally more of the redish coloration. I am cureently trying to built up a pair out of very tiny fish. Coloration is already as supposed to be but fish seem still to small and the bigger one is chasing slightly the other one.

I had a pair of Potters. They are capapble of changing back and forth between sexes. I introduced a small potters in with my established larger individual. It was pretty rough going the first day. I had to turn the lights off early to keep 1 from killing 2 on that first day. I might employ a clear tank divider or clear isolation chamber if I did it again. The aggression slowly lessoned over the next week. Angel one became visibly more blue in several days. Unfortunately, 2 taught 1 to eat corals and they both went back to the lfs, but not before kiling a 12'' green slimer.

Wow! That is some aggressive coral picking. I don't think I have ever heard anything like that with a large SPS.

They started it on a downward spiral. They would both hover over it and hit it 10-15 times a pass. It took about two weeks past the time I removed them before I realized the coral was definately a goner and needed to be fragged.

I wouldn't do it unless you are able to take back one of the fish right away if they don't get along. Potters angels are very aggressive and chances are good that one of your fish won't survive.

Thanks guys, I'll think about it again. I was thinking of putting in a different sp. of dwarf angel in there, but non of them can compare to my Potter's. Anyone else had experiences?

RGBMAtt, where are you from, I'm from Waipahu, but I'm going to OSU.

One friend of mine keeps a Potters and Fishers angel together, and they get along well although the first few days were a little rough. Fisher's are pretty mellow for pygmy angels so you may be OK with one of them (plus they're Hawaiian too).

I go to UH (live in Makiki) but I'm originally from Canada. Small world, eh?
