I think I know the answer, but what are peoples' opinions on keeping anemones with LPS? I would really like to get a little RBTA....but I dont know how it would affect the LPS that I have now.......especially now that I broke down to a 20H?......
well i have just about everything im my 65 for 2 years. SPS, LPS, and anemones. Just matters on placement and lighting.
I guess make sure nothing is touch tho other... 20H is rather small but what size of the corals and rock layout?
As long as its not a carpet. Should be ok. It really depends on the where you place the BTA and the water flow in that direction.
The 1 out of my 3 moved to the underside of a rock it was on. Now its back where it was in the first place and all is good. If anything keep on opp sides of at least 6-8" apart.
Hope this helps some.
I have a 20+ inch Purple tipped Malu that I bought for my aging 11 year old Gold Bar Maroon Clown two years ago, when we first bought it it was 4" ID (it was funny because it looked like my clown was laying sideways on an automan ) the anem would start walking all over the tank, I'd put it back and by morning it would be on the other side of the tank again. My wife said maybe it needs to feel safe and secure so we surrounded it with rocks and it worked! it has'nt move since. it only problem with having a anemone is that they get BIG so everything on the left side of my tank has been stung or I can't use 1/3 of my tank space. I have LPS, SPS, Softy's and clams. Here's a couple of pic's to show you what I mean.
I have had mine for a while now. At firt it was just one RBTA, now it has multiplied to three.
The main one that is pictured getting BIG and its starting to sting the underside of my SPS but it's not a problem (right now), and if you look at the pics real good your see that it's taking over a Montipora Confusia colony right next to it.
