One of the more interesting inverts I have placed into my tank recently were seas hares. As far as algae control, they work like the hulk! As far as being interesting, in an ugly way, they are Phillis Diller. However, how to keep them safe?
The 1st sea hare I purchased was about 5-6 weeks ago - great worker she was! However, she climbed/ got sucked into the side slits of the MJ mod and, well, no more work.
I then made gutter mesh screens for the mods, boought two more hares (one for the main tank, one for the prop): both got sucked into the inlet slits of Seio pumps! Now, if you can visualize the inlets on Seio's: they are about 1/8" wide and about 1/2" long.
How the heck can one keep these animals safe in the tank?
I know ChrisBuono has a huge one - how did it survive?
