Keeping the cats from going fishing!

My new tank is being set up behind my couch, and the cats will have easy access to it. I didnt plan on building a canopy but now I'm thinking that might be the only option.

Anyone have some suggestions how/what I can secure the top without using a canopy? One of our cats is very determined and used to pop the screen top off a gecko cage even when it was clipped down

I try and try to keep mine away from my bearded dragon’s cage with no luck. Squirt yell at it push it off no luck. The canopy maybe your saving grace. Good luck to you.

LOL Mel. I'm sure J would love it.

J-Your cats are way to nice, no reason for them to get into the tank. Were they that interested in your 100gallon? I'd be more worried about your hyper dog knocking into the system...lol.

In serious mode though... I agree the hood may be your only option if your cat is able to get those clips off the gecko's top.

Yes I think I will have to go with the canopy... I'll have to give up a few style points but I suppose it's worth it

And mike, the cats were never interested in the other tank but they are all over the new one now that it's in reach
