Kent Kalkwasser drip

Impact of adding a Kent Kalkwasser drip along with a calc reactor.

Never heard of this before but saw a 300 gal (total) system today that was using both with very good coral growth.

Any concerns?

Dont see why not. If its needed. Really depends on calcium load and whiether or not you keep proper readings between water changes.

Kalk maintains Ca does not increase it, use it for MU to maintain Ca once you have it up to 400ish, if Mg is low hard to get Ca up.

Many people use limewater along with a CaCO3/CO2 reactor. The purpose of the limewater in such a case is primarily to raise pH, since the reactor can be scaled to any size that is needed, but tends to lower tank pH.

Beyond helping with PH, does the Kent Kalk add anything (nutrition/elements) that may be considered benifitial to SPS?
