Kent Marine has alot of products, my question are that any good. I was wondering if the kalk, auto dose system and coral food is worth the money. Please let me know if you have had any luck or like any of the kent Marine products. THanks

Kalk is Kalk. I have never used their auto dosing system. I am not a fan of their coral food, many other options out there that are better IMO.

I do not like their kalk. I have used other brands in the past and had better results. Everything else has been great.

I had better growth with kalk sold by 2 little fishes but I can no longer find that brand. I had used the kent and it worked but not as good as the other brand

Just what I had seen. After using it my soft corals (mushrooms) would split more often. It was just a visual measure of growth. After I used it all up and went to kent the growth slowed down and the only change in the tank was the brand of kalk. As for chemically the water was the same for both products. I think the 2 little fishes brand was a cleaner product ( it was whiter and a much finer powder than the kent) and dissolved better in water than the Kent

Getting back to your question about coral food, it depends on what you are keeping.
I think that most kent foods are "pollution in a bottle". For SPS, I like DT's, DT's oyster eggs, cyclopeeze Phyto-feast, reef chili and life from refug. LPS and softies I think cyclopeeze and DIY foods are great.

My preferred products (and ones I use) from Kent are the Salt which has the best consistency, balance and long term results than IO (Lower supplement levels and issues with alk once in a while), Tropic Marin Pro (as good but too expensive), Oceanic (dfficult to balance Ca and Alk with balanced aditives) and Reef Crystals (too much like IO lathough better levels) All this salts I have tested tried and discarded.
Also IMO Kent has the best supplements for Calcium TurboCalcium (Calcium Chloride), Magnesium Tech-M Magnesium, Garlic Extract and Strontium & Molibdenum.
Everything else is either not necessary, redundant or there are some other better out there.

has anyone ever tried the kent rock scrubber stuff? Is it any good, does it clean the rocks without hurting anything on them other than bad algae or whatever?
