Kent Nautilus?

Anyone tried these? I have found some positive and negative reviews scattered throughout cyberspace.

I think I am deciding between this and a CSS220 for my 90RR.

With the mesh wheel mods almost any skimmer can be a great skimmer.

What is your price range.

We might be able to come up wit hsomethign better or used than the Kent and Coralife.

meshwheel won't help a venturi skimmer.

I looked at those Kents before I got the ASM and there were too many people that didn't like them. I have seen one at Beldts and it skimmed well but I think for the money I wouldn't buy old technology.

I seen one at work before Aquatic treasures moved. It seemed to be doing the job, But when I question them about how well it preformed Hal (I think thats the guys name??) said it wasn't very good and he was standing on top of it to keep it going good.

JMHO I'd go with a ASM, Euro reef, Octopus or a Deltec. IMO there are just some corner's in this hobby you don't want to cut, and skimmer's are one of them. AND MESH MOD WHAT EVER YOU DO GET!!

I still use the Kent; it works well if you size the pump right. I use a Mag. 7 to run the Kent. Only time I see it slow down is when I don't get to top off my tank and the water level drops in the sump. Mostly never had a complaint.

Oh yeah.....one more thing....I'm back! The last 3-4 months have been H$%L at work. Anyway, back to RC and my boards.

I also have one and it works fine. I think if your buying one new youd be better served with a ASM. I got mine new for 50.00 so i couldnt go wrong. One of the tanks of the month a few months back also used one.
