Kent Phytoplex

Has anyone used this before. I'm just curious why it doesn't have to be refrigerated or anything. Seems like it would spoil. I bought some recently when my DT's started to smell bad. It doesnt have a bad smell to it.

I've used zooplex, which also said it didn't need to be refrigerated. I refrigerated mine anyway. I'm not sure why they don't need refrigeration...

DT's is live Plankton, Kent's phytoplankton is not a live and it has preservatives added. That is the reason it doesn't require refrigeration
