Kent stuff

I was told today that Kent uses the lowest grade ingredients in their products instead of lab grade. If this is true I was wondering what every ones thoughts were about it. I was at Sea Shore and was informed that pretty much all the additives and stuff that I was using from Kent was trash and it belongs down the drain. Comments or any additional information would be helpful.

In this hobby you believe half of what you see and nothing of what you here.

I use a number of Kent's products. No problems.

Hello
What additives are we talking about? All you need to add is Calcium and a buffer. The rest is mostly water, no matter who bottles it!

I am currently dripping the Kent Kalk and just switched to Reef Solutions instead of the Nano A and B from Kent, due to the increased tank size. I was using the Nano A and B on my 20G Nano. And occationally the Kent Liquid Calc. And I also use the Kent Osmo Prep for my RO water. Due to the fact that I use IO and will be switching to Reef Crystals since the bucket is almost gone and the new bucket is RCs.

I use Kent salt..no problems. Only salt I've ever used.

I learned everyone's got their own opinion and some think that their's is the only way to do things or what they use is the best.

Maybe he doesn't carry their products and was trying to make a sale?

I just really didn't like how he kept saying that everything I was doing was wrong and everything I had bought should be dumped down the drain and to get a quality product instead. My tank says differently. I have awesome color and really good growth from everything. There has to be something said for that.

Go with What Works!! :0 That's What I say

Couldn't said it better myself...yuo are absolutely right, use with what works best on your system. just like when i started my first reef tank. i was told and from all the info i gathered from reading and asking questions, i was told that it will take at least 4 weeks from the time i set up untill i can add anything on the aquarium but after 2 weeks my system is all cycled up and i added fish and corals almost every other day the next thing i know my 55 gal is packed and i upgraded to a 120. never had any algae problem.
