Also rinse it totally to get ride of all fine partials before placing it into your system The Al can cause issues in your tank. This product worked ok for me, but switched over to a reactor with PhosBan.

In the past I've placed it in a bag attached to my drain line to my sump. I was curious if it was too much flow - I got a white film all over my tank despite me rinsing the product. Thought the flow high flow (~600gph) might have broke it down? Phosban and Rosphwas(SP?) require a very lite flow correct - is this product different?

Maybe you're grinding the media with that kind of flow, which will give you that kind of film with clean media. IME PhosGuard is not intended to be tumbled. Usually it is held in place (supported).
