It probably has acclimated to your tank and fully opened. It should not have doubled or tripled it size that fast. I think you witnessed it filling out.

I would rate mine right up to xenia. I get a couple baby branches dropping every week from my mother colonies. I want to get some green kenya trees but hear they grow slower, if they even are kenya trees.

Mine drop 15 to 20 babies a week. I've sold, traded, and given away so many that I've saturated the market. I can't get rid of them anymore. Now a handfull a week gets tossed in the yard or flushed.
