Kessil A160we vs Kessil A360we

I have been out of the hobby for a while and decided to setup a 60 cube. The tank like most 60 cubes is 24x24x24. I have decided to go with a Kessil light. My question is should I go with 1 x A360WE or 2x A160WEs in Tuna Blue? I plan on running them with the controller.

I had a cube of similar size and ran a solo 360w initially but had shadowing issues. I ended up running (2) 360w but think that maybe (2) 160w would have been sufficient. Not sure if there would be enough PAR for corals near the bottom, but I guess it depends on what you're trying to keep. For reference I had anemones, sps and lps. Hope that helps, good luck!

That is great help. So what you are saying is I might want to go with 2x A360s? I see that most say the 360 will only cover 18x18. So I would be better on Par with just 1 360 and keeping be corals near the center?

What do you desire to keep in the tank? One A360WE, or better yet, the A360X would be fine for all but a full blown SPS tank. Your rock structure will most likely be centered in a cube tank so coverage shouldn't be an issue, nor will light spill if you don't plan on a canopy. You can always add additional lighting later if needed.

Will not be full blown SPS, but I want to be able to keep anything I want. I also want the light to be programmable without the internet. I do not have access to a computer or internet at my house. So I have to be able to access the light via controller or my phone.

I'd do the 360X with the spectral controller then. You will be able to keep most anything and it will look super clean on your cube.
