Keyhole Limpet help...

So I started with one or two from a friend, and now I have about a dozen. I have a couple friends who would like to buy one or two but I am not certain how to capture them? Does anyone have any tips or tricks to catch these guys? I've very rarely find them on the glass or of course I would use a sharp razor blade, they are usually on LR...

thx

Just pick & choose your battles IMO. It would suck to give away or to sell a damaged limpet to somebody due to removal tactics, as opposed to sliding them right off the glass with ease. (patience) GL.

You could try putting food in the tank that they like and waiting for them to crawl onto it. Veggies might be worth a go. Or grow a bunch of algae on a large shell or a tiny rock and place it in as bait?
Alternately, put something all over the rockwork that you don't really want (rubble, shells, bits of slate, etc) and wait for a limpet to crawl onto one.
Or just negotiate the price for a limpet plus whatever small bit of rock it happens to be on at the time. I don't think it's possible to pry a limpet off of rockwork without injuring it, they're made to stay fastened down against everything.
