Kh/Alk test results

Hi Randy it's been awhile for me here... Great 120 set up. I have a question, I just finished my tests and the numbers are as follow...

Overall 0.25
Kh 12.2
Alk 4.34

Are these within the normal paramateres or are they high or low. Also do you have articles posted on this subject?

What is the "overall" number?

The others look fine, although I might allow calcium and alkalinity to drop back a tiny tad if you are looking for soemthing to do.

Theoverall I guess is where I got my other numbers from using the syringe from the test kit.

This is the kit that I used...SALIFERT KH/Alkalinity Profi Test

The Salifert alk kit gives an alkalinity value. What do you mean by the "overall" value? You just mean the amount of titrant remaining?

I guess what I meant was that was the value of the amount of the additive that was left in the syringe once the test water changed color. Sorry for the head scratching!!!

How are you supplementing calcium and alkalinity?

I'm really not doing anything, the tank is basically taking care of itself. I just make sure the water paramaters are ok. But I think that I need to be doing more!
