Little more info about your tank would be helpful,

tank size
what lights
how long has it been set up?
how long have you had the anemone?
what are your other parameters -- with numbers
what else do you have in the tank?

its been set up fairly new, just some a month

but the parameter is really fine and stable except for KH and MG

salinity=1.025 (increased from 1.023)

ph=8

kh=7.1

no2=0

no3=0.2

po4=0

ca=400

mg=1200 (increased from 1150+)

the bta was doing fine for almost 2 weeks but one day it shrank and deflated all of a sudden. really dunno why or just because i increased the salinity?

now it entirely retreats back into her crevice and deflated into her oral disc. i was trying to remove it into the sump but she was strongly stick to the rock so i gave up the idea

is she wasting away there or is there still possibility that shell probably come back as a surprise?

If your tank has only been setup for a month, that's really new yet, and not stable enough for an anemone. While it may appear that you have a stable tank when you test and it constantly shows similar results, the reality is that every tank is very dynamic and will change based on the inhabitants you put in there. With such a new tank, the bacteria which break down ammonia aren't very well established, so swings in water chemistry can happen very easily. At this point, the "health" or water quality of your tank is a knife-edge. Very minor adjustments can send it screaming down one side or another. The longer it has been setup, the more adapted your system is to absorb swings and is more forgiving, and a better environment for delicate animals.

I'm not saying it's a death sentence, but an uphill battle for sure. Even very experienced reef keepers would find it a challenge to keep an anemone in a new tank (hence, why the experienced tend to wait a period of time before doing so). Your best course of action would be to find anyone near you to take the BTA for you for a few more months while your tank matures a bit. If you are dead set on keeping it in your tank, make sure to have lots of SW mixed as you may need to be doing an emergency water change if it dies.

i was waiting for a gigantea that i plan to buy in few months but this BTA is so very unique in color so i couldnt help bringing her home.

now she is firmly attaching herself to a rock and i tried in vain to remove it into my friends. she remains here in a protecting gesture, hiding the tentacles in her oral disc and hide herself entire into the crevice. one and any touch just stresses her worst and smaller.

any way out?

beside, is it possible shes poisoned?

any creatures in the rock gave her a venemous bite? or just because of the prawn i fed her with?

at the very beginning, everytime shortly after i fed her, she began to deflate and came back few days later

but this time, she DID NOT

It's unlikely it's poisoned.

tks, cuz i think the lighting is ok

its a metal halide bulb

250w 10000k

on from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m.

and four actinic lights 15w*4=60w

on from 1p.m. to 11 p.m.

and a moonlight on during the rest of time

so is it possible that she is hurt by the extra uv from the bulb that some say is producing plenty of uv

im going to replace it with an XM bulb

You're looking to throw in the towel on this anemone and you haven't even attempted much to save it yet!

As stated earlier, get the anemone out of your tank and into a more established tank. It will survive there while your tank matures a bit. After 3-4 months, you can take it back and it should do better.

Also, increasing your mag even more will make keeping your alk up easier.

You can increase your photoperiod by at least 2 hours. Also, most people have their actinics on for an hour EXTRA rather than an hour less. It's less of a light shock to the inhabitants that way when your MH turns on.

It's not hurt by the UV.
