Kick-ich?

I am sure I am opening myself up to a barage of pain and suffering for asking this, but does anyone have any opinions on Ruby Reef Kick Ich? Being in the hobby for a while I should have known better, but I introduced a Powder Blue into my recently set back up 120g reef system. I got him from one of the guys in my club who advertised him as fat and eating well (which he is). Instead of putting him in QT like I know that I should have, I took the shortcut and added him into the display tank. Within 24 hours he developed white spots and now my Regal has them. I really don't want to tear down the whole system to catch all of my fish and put them in QT/Hypo but I will if I have to. I have had the majority of my fish in the range of 5 years (ich free) and I don't want to loose them. So the question remains, any thoughts on Kick-ich, garlic enhanced food, snake water, laser treatments, swimming pitbulls, etc... I am running UV put I am sure it is having no impact. My food is soaked in ZOE but again it isn't a cure for ich just making sure my fish are getting what they need. Thanks!

kick ich only really works on the "floating" parasites. if they are already on the fish it wont work.

You are doing everything you can do if you don't want to remove all the fish to treat them. In my expierience reef safe treatments do not work and are a waste of money. If you don't mind living with the chance that the ich could one day surface in large enough numbers to wipe out your tank then just keep doing what you are doing. If you want to make sure your tank is ich free then removing the fish for 12 weeks is the only option. Cupramine in a treatment tank is my treatment of choice.

Agreed with above, kick-ich is useless, only option is to get them out and quarantine or hope they build up enough of a resistance on their own. Good luck.
