Thanks for the responses. I know the coral comes attached to a small piece of rock. Can you just bury the rock in the sand?

What temp do you keep your tank?

well recently there has been a heatwave in the east coast which hit my tank up to 90 degrees -_- luckily everything is pretty hardy to no loss

usually my tank temp is around 80ish

Love your 12 gallon nano and 3 gallon pico. Just wondering if you have to add anything to the 3 gallon pico or did you use all stock equipment?

Hard to believe how well you're doing with the stock lighting. I'm in the process of building a JBJ nano 12, but I'm planning to upgrade the lighting to 4 x 24watt PC bulbs a la Nanotuners. One suggestion that worked really well in my JBJ 6 gal Nano - put cheato in the middle chamber. I tried a coumple of fountain lights in the chamber with the cheato, with poor results. Then, I went to JBJ's 4 LED refugium light and the cheato really took off. Fixed my cyano problems in 2 weeks.

Sorry to put this in but will this fit my 12 Gallon JBJ?

Oll And I mean with the hood down? Also Are you guys having heat problems? I can't get my temps under 80 unless I leave the hood cracked from the top? Ideas?

Just put a small clip on fan blowing on the top. Kept it around 79.5 today. Also my tank is in my finished basement so that helps.

my tank is around low 80s , USUALLY its under 80

Probably 70. I could not imagine having this tank in my family room. Would definitely be hotter but the fan does help.
