man.... these past couple of days have been kicking my tanks ***! temps reaching high 80's - low 90's. usually the tank would be fine but my AC decided to break down =)

sigh -_- crappy day today

came home from class and saw that my Montipora caps are bleaching!

i have no freakin clue as to why they are bleaching. just happened out of no where -_-

hopefully they will come back to color =(

Man....kidninja...that is awful. Your stunning tank has a mysterious boo boo. Hope your montiporo caps recover but also you find out what happened.

thanks, it sucks because i have no freakin clue what happen. im hoping it just stressed because everything else in the tank is doing fine

I'm trying to catch up to yours, but I'm in a never ending battle with hair algae.

I use RO/DI water, everything by the book, and I've never seen my tank a fraction as clean as yours.

lol i had a terrible hair algae outbreak and with 1 emerald crab, cleaned up basically all of it, guess i was lucky

looks like the monti caps are stabilizing right now and has some color, so hopefully it makes a full recovery!

BUT my cleaner shrimp is MIA....not good

nope nothing too close to it especially the red caps which are pretty much isolated from everything so i know the problem was not because of another coral stinging

Is he still in your tank?

I think that maybe, just maybe the algaefix is starting to take effect. I pulled out my carbon today so maybe it will really kill the stuff.

Reason why I ask is I don't want him to mow all the algae down and starve. Does he eat other detritus?

yep its still in my tank, i feed is some brine shrimp or even pellets that i feed my fish

eats everything! gotta use a long tweezer tho
