Got home from a week of being at school out of town. My wife took care of the fish with no problems and I was anxious to feed my Bicolored Blenny and O. Clownfish.
I don't feed my fish entire cubes of food, I dice it up nice and small and toss a pinch in every day or every other day etc. I tossed in a pinch and watched the fish swarm around the tank gorging themselves on the food. I sat down, checked the forums, watched a little TV and got up to make dinner.
I glanced over while standing up and saw my clown face down with a hermit pulling on him. I quick grabbed him in my hand and pulled him toward the glass. His stomach was way full and he had some food down his gullet. He wasn't moving, nothing! Took him out of the tank and opened his little mouth and it was just full of food.
*sigh* guess a large piece of food snuck in there and he grabbed it thinking he could swallow it. Had too much food in his stomach to simply swallow it down. I am pretty ****ed at myself. He was a cute clown, never attacked my hand but would swim around it while I did this or that in the tank. The $35 or so he cost isn't the deal, I just hate being responsible for animals I am taking care of.
Just had to share a bit of grief I am dealing with albiet it is just a little orange, white and black fish!
