Killer Deals !!!!! Sale On Alot Of Stuff

Careful. We had a person come into the store to give us some free live rock the other day. He spent over $900 on live rock online to get some "Cure" LR shipped in water. It was not cured and was not in water and spiked his 300 gallon tank.(well the good pieces he kept did, the ones he was giving away just stank and he knew they were bad)

When you order something online you get what you get. A rock, can technically because "alive" by just setting in a tank with other live rock for a couple hours. There will be a small amount of bacteria that will begin to grow.

So if you don't care what it looks like or what the quality is then order from anyone online with the cheapest price. Personally I like to "cherry pick", as some people say, and go to a store and pick on the best looking pieces. I can also then smell the rock and tell how cured it is and decide if it is worth my time(and if I have the time) to cure and qt it.

This company your URL lists also shows photos of "branch rock" which is the furthest thing I have ever seen from a branch.

Just my two cents.

yeah... nobody ships in water. one, it's too heavy, and two, you need a biofiltration/oxygenation system on the shipping tank to keep things alive. Like they do for live lobsters. but you know how much lobsters cost per pound. Right?

live rock left in water without filtration goes dead in a couple hours from oxygen depletion. and then rots. which is why they are shipped damp, wrapped in news paper, and air to keep most things alive, except sponges.
