Killer Yellow Watchman Goby

So, I have this yellow Watchman that is probably 10 yrs old. Yeah, he's a tough guy. I recently moved him to a new 180 gal reef tank. He's never been aggressive to any other occupants. But since his move I believe he's attacked two and killed one of my firefish. The other is healing. And will probably survive. Do these guys get aggressive in their old age. The only other fish with a big enough mouth is a large Royal gramma. But, I don't think it's him. The goby loves the new tank with all the hiding spots. Hope I don't need to get rid of him. He's the only survivor of my old tank when it crashed while I was in vacation several years ago. What do you think?

I've heard similar stories about watchman's being hard to keep with other gobies. Hopefully he will find a hiding spot and stick to it. That should calm him down. Adding a pistol shrimp buddy for him might help (not if the tank is in your bedroom).

Both of these incidents happened when I fed the fish brine shrimp. May have just been a feeding frenzy thing. Those firefish were in the wrong spot at the wrong time. He doesn't seem aggressive any other time. Time will tell.
