How do I kill an apistia that is connected to a rock of zoo's. It is really close to them. I was wondering if i just covered it in glue would that smother it? It is a little one. Also when gluing corals what glue do you use? Is aquarium celant ok?

You can use an aquarium safe two part epoxy or (I prefer) Superglue GEL. Regular superglue will just make a mess. Also, you can inject the aiptasia carefully with your prefered method (I prefer vinegar) and it should be able to kill it quickly with little or no harm to your zoanthids. In fact, I did this just two days ago with my wife's pink protopalythoas. They were all open the next day and the aiptasia was dead.

A little vinegar or little lemon juice in a syringe -- hit it with some acid and melt it. :) I'd avoid Joes Juice (which is kalk paste) that close to your zoos since it won't dissovle quickly and could get on the zoos.

I used Joe's Juice but they just seemed to come back. I got a peppermint shrimp and after about 2 weeks, gone and haven't seen one since.

Love that Peppermint.

Blast the aptasia w/ Kalkwasser mixed with water. Go for a milky consistancy. The Zoas won't like it but will bounce right back the next day and the aptasia will be toast!

Ditto on the peppermint shrimp. When I realized I have the big "A" I put 4 or 5 of them in my tank and they did a great job.

I tried the pepermint shrimp and they never went after the aiptasia(some will, some won't) I tried joe's juice and had to do the treatment twice has been gone for months now. If you just cover it in glue or epoxy(if it can suck itself in) it will come back in a new spot
