Do I remember right that someone here had killed Aptasia with hot water and a syringe? Would someone mind clearing that up or suggesting any other DIY methods of killing these buggers.

That was me. I fill a syringe (no needle) with boiling RO water. Put the tip of the syringe on the hole the aptasia is in and squirt but dont take the syringe off the hole. After a few seconds pull the plunger on the syringe to suck the aptasia out. It works well as long as there arent any corals right next to the aptasia.
It equally effective and satisfying on mojos. I have one mojano that is hiding out right next to my AOG zoas though. Havent figured out how to exterminate it YET.
Hey the hot water really works. But being out to suck it out and seeing it in the syringe is what really feels good. If it doesnt come out on the first try keep hitting it with the hot water. It will finally turn a loose. I have killed about 5 in my tank and they havent come back yet.
