A couple months ago I broke a frag off of this tri, remounted it and it bleached some a little close to one of my 400's

I just noticed today the purple is coming back in quite an odd way

looks like I accidentally poured purple primer down the side

angled pic through 1" acrylic came out kind of fuzzy, but kind of weird eh?? Looks like it was grafted but with its own color. Never seen a bleached coral do this. Have you??

Lol does look like pvc primer. Be cool if it stayed and grew that color

Wouldnt it though. I could call it LE Bonsai Swirl. I could be FAMOUS. And RICH!!

Actaully, the wife just got home and I showed her the pic and she said she saw iut the other day and she knows why it looks like that. lol

I should have just asked her in the first place I guess.

She said the coral actually had a little necrosis along that strip when it first got real bleached. Which of course would account for the fact that the only parts of this coral that are the purple color they should be are the growing edge and that strip that apparently used to be dead. It looks kinda out of the ordinary still, but it all fits.

Regardless, for a VERY limited time only, I have available the LE Bonsai Swirl. $600. Hurry though, it wont last long at this price :D

I have an ORA Plum crazy that was experiencing a lot of bleaching and STN after a large alk swing. Now that the alk is steady in my new large tank (upgraded from a 29 to a 156) it is coming back to life. Many of the affected areas are turning florescent green, then light blue and finally back to purple. It's crazy. And to think, I almost tossed it!.
