Know what this is??

This "green thing" is on a rock with blue xenia. It has small tentacles. Any ideas?

Will this coral take over the xenia?? Do they grow quickly? What is the level of care required?

depends on your water. in the right conditions, nothing will out-compete xenia except GHA.

I don't believe it will grow as fast as the Xenia. If that's your concern then no, I won't over run the Xenia. Generally speaking, I would consider favia to be a fairly fast grower. Care requirement is similar to other types of LPS; no special requirement is needed.

Xenia is probably hardier than Favia, but because of its tentacles, the favia might be able to sting your Xenia and displace some of it. Xenia will probably adjust to that issue and move away!. if you see too much death/decrease in volume just change your flow or make your xenia crowl on another distant rock.
