So I introduced them at the same time to QT no problem. Put them in the DT and now the Tomini is having his way with the Kole. Are they establishing pecking order or is this a duel to the death?
They are both similar types of fish, and I can't remember if they are both bristletooth tangs but it could be a problem keeping them in a smaller tank. On I see it's a 145g, if that's the case they may establish their own territory
The powder blue now seems to protect the kole, the back side of the tank seems to be the tomini's now and the front the kole. But the tomini comes back every once in a while to bother the kole. Grrrr....
Try putting an eggcrate barrier or even a vertical spire of rock in the middle of the arrangement, so it's a psychological barrier.
I keep a damsel tank and they can get snippy, but rock spires do seem to serve as 'home plate' for various fish. They just want to own something, it seems.
