3" length tang and the bump sticks out a pretty good. Seems like something is hanging, cant tell from the picture.

I recently gotten the Aquaticlife 6 bulb t5 ho 48" and when I first turned it on, the tang freaked out and started skimming crazy. He has also been picking on my blenny and wrasse aggressively. Swmming inbetween the rocks and trying to nip them. I dont know if it is from scraping the rock or what?

I can't confirm if that is or isn't ich. but keep an eye on him and get him out at the first indication that it is ich.

I had a Kole tang in my previous 120 who didn't put up much of a fight once infected. By the time quarantine was up and running he'd lost his fight. Fingers crossed for your guy!

He had lyphocystis 3 weeks ago, and I took pictures and showed the LFS to confirm. It took about a month to clean. This white bump has been there for 2 days already. He is eating like normal and I dont see any flashing against the rocks or sand.
I have not seen any white dots or abnormal behavior from the other fish so far.

That white spot isn't Ich. Possibly Lympho flaring back up or even a bacterial infection. Does he have any other spots/dots on him?

+1 Humblefish

I added the wrasse and blenny, which he is being aggressive towards and also got the lights recently; which freaks him out when they come on.
So this stress caused a lymphocystis outbreak again?
Just wanted to make sure it was not ich also.

Lympho is a virus with no known cure. Once a fish has it, he always will have it. Most of the time no symptoms are visible. But when stressed, it will sometimes "flare up" again and that is when you will see the white, cottony growths. Usually on the tail or fins, but Lympho can pop up anywhere. It truly is the herpes of the fish world.

on the 3rd day, the white bump is gone.;)

thanks everyone

This may, or may not, be good. I think the spot looked too big for ich. But, its common for drop off at about the 3 day mark and continue its life-cycle. If it returns, and I don't think it will, it won't just be one spot.

I have my QT ready and filter pads in sump that been in there for about 3 weeks. I have my old 55 gallon ready just in case....you think kole tang, 2 clowns, lawn mower blenny, and firefish too small for a QT?

thats the only tank i have besides a 10 gallon which i am currenty using.

Yeah the white spot looked too big to me a grain of salt size, but never know.

They'll be fine in a 55.
