Kole tang with Ich

Hey guys
I have a question about what to do about my tang. I have been in the hobby for about a year and some months and Ive run into my first case of ich. Ill start off by giving some details about my tank. 72 gallon FOWLR with kole tang, 2 ocellaris, and 1 xmas wrasse. CBS and a couple hermits. near perfect params no nitrates, phosphates, or ammonia etc.

My tang is the only fish that is showing ich hes about 3". Ive read many different opinions about what to do. I was first considering setting up a qt out of an old 20gal long for the tang and using hyposalinity. My question about that is: will i have to qt all my fish, and if so, will that 20 long be ok?? i feel like its kinda small considering my clowns are super aggressive.

The second option I've been doing for the past 3 days is to provide the tang with lots of food and garlic soaked sea veggies. He eats like hes starving and ive noticed some ich spots dissappearing. Is this treatment adiquate? I understand and have researched the ich cycle and my gut says no but i like to hear some input to know for sure.

Third... I have a 30gal reef that could house the shrimp nd other inverts from the 72 and I have a rubbermaid tub to keep the live rock in. Could i remove everything but the fish and treat the DT??

I always appreciate the input!
Thanks
David

Did you just buy a new kole tang and it was carrying ich?
If so, the rest of your fish will get it and the system is contaminated. So since you only have 4 fish and an extra 20 long, set up your empty tank (I personally use cupramine) and treat them for 2 to 4 weeks. After the treatment cycle, move all the fish to your 30gal reef tank till ich dies out in the main tank. Without a fish host, I think it takes about 2 months. You don't need to move anything else around.
Hyposalinity takes longer to setup since you have to slowly bring the salinity down. Then you have to slowly bring it back up. With cupramine, the ich cycle is done within 2 weeks. The extra couple of weeks is just in case there are some slow growers.

There will be ich in your tank even if the spots are "gone" from the tang. Heavy feeding/garlic does not destroy Cryptocaryon. To erradicate it you can remove all fish and treat with a proven method leaving your display fallow for a proper length of time. A 20 long may not be big enough if your fish are overly aggressive.

Yes I believe the tang brought it in unfortunately this is yet another case of rushing and not putting the tang in qt. This was the last fish for my setup as well.. what a step back.

Its mainly the clowns that are the trouble makers. I have a bunch of eggcrate that I was thinking about using as dividers. So ill either do that or buy another 20 for the tang and qt the wrasse and clowns in the first.

Thanks for the clarification
