Kole Tang?

Hello,

I am thinking about getting a Kole Tang. Do they do best with Yellow Tangs? I have heard many times that they eat the Yellow Tang poop. Can they be kept with Lawnmower Blennys, algae eaters, etc? Would this be to many algae eaters in a 65 gallon?

All Tangs eat poop..gross!

Anyway, I wouldn't recommend a Tang for a 65.. If I had to chose, I'd say the Kole would be best but since you already have the Yellow then I would not add another..

Tangs and Blennies are fine together..Compatibility between fish has more to do with being the same species or color and /or shape ...not what they eat

I think that for SURE you are going to immediately get bashed by the tang police for having even one tang in a 65g tank, much less two.

I would say that the answer to your question is yes, that is too many algae eaters for a 65g, but there are unfortunately a lot more issues with keeping a tang in a 65g tank than that.

Sorry about that, I do not have any tangs.

The only fish in my tank is a Yellow Watchman, and a False Perc Clownfish.

Going slow reading alot. I don't want to make any bad choices in stocking.

Good for you! A Dwarf Angel would be nice for a 65
