koralia 4 ?

I bought 2 Koralia 4's for my 120. Does anyone use the "fish guard" that goes on the front? It seems like it reduces the flow.

I don't use it. I think you only have to worry about it if you are putting it on a controller.

I wouldn't call it a fish guard as much as a snail guard. I had one shear the impeller off getting in it. Food for thought.

No snails just aggressives. So no worries on the "snail guard"

I would suggest leaving it off...the odds of a snail related problem are slim, and the cone tends to narrow the desired wide flow....so why bother with wide flow just to make it narrow again!

i took it off and all the fish seemed stressed out from to much flow. So I put them back on
