I'm upgrading to a JBJ 45 and I'm going to add a koralia evolution powerhead 850. I'll be transferring a koralia nano 425 from my other tank but was wondering if the 850 would be fine or should I just get the 1150?
The 850 would put you at about 28x turnover, and the 1150 would put you at about 35x. Not much difference, but more flow is usually better in general. What corals are you wanting to keep? Do you have a return pump adding flow as well?
Right now im only stocking softies and LPS in my current set up that will be transferred over. Eventually once my tank reaches a mature state I want to stock SPS corals. I have 2 maxijet 1200's as return pumps.
