koralia revolution?

looks like a newer pump from koralia, and it boasts a shaftless propeller. hmm sounds good to me! has anyone had experiences with this yet?

Do you mean the evolution? If so, I have the 750 and the 1050 and really like them so far. I haven't had any issues and they seem to have a nice flow - wide and gentle, yet strong. At least strong enough for my tank at 30"w x 18d x 24h. Still only have a couple of SPS sticks, but most of them seem to be happy.

yes evolution, woops. I just bought the 750 for my 75 gallon, i currently have 2 older koralias that do a good job, but i need another pump so i can take one out to clean and rotate them for cleaning in vinegar and such.

They seem nice so far. I have 3 in the display, one in each frag tank.

There was an issue with the initial production that caused reverse starting or no start at all.

If you go to their web site and send them annemail they will mail the replacement part for free

I get a low hum/vibration from mine, but not too bad.

My 750 makes a little more noise than my 1050. Go figure.

Still a nice powerhead though, and MarineDepot.com seems to have 20% deals every few weeks or so.

Have 2 of the 1050's I like them better although (only downfall) I see is the magnets They dont seem to be as strong :(

cool I have a Red Sea Wavemaster Pro thats not selling, maybe I'll just keep it and try these powerheads out..

i kind of have an odd issue, i have coral growing everywhere (SPS) and they like strong flow, but not direct, so i figured a 750 would be nice because i could aim it right at the SPS even a few inches away and still be safe.....right?

Just sit by your tank all day and move it every couple minutes

:lmao:

You never let up on busting Brandon's shops do ya J?

The Evolutions are great. They work fantastic with a wave maker as well. They don't have the clunking noises every time they start up.

If you want random flow though and not completely direct I would recommend the Vortech's. Random flow rates, control speeds, place where you want them.

Yea I like my MP 10 as well but the fixed wetside is annoying at times...yes you can move the whole thing around but the lack of pivoting head frustrates me.

Be slick if they had a swiveling "flap" that could be tweaked for specific directional flow hmmmmm :reading:

The pumps are great for the price. I like that they are smaller and quieter. The fact that they are controllable is great. Running them on very short intervals will kill them fast and they will restart backwards.

Koralia

What size/gph koralia evolution would you recommend for a 75 gallon softee tank? How many? I'm looking at upgrading.
Thanks,
Barbara
