koralia vs tunze nano

is the tunze nano worth the extra cost? thinking of getting a nano soon and would like to buy addtl powerhead for extra flow.

I have both! I have the Tunze 6045 and Koralia 4 and decided on the Tunze for my display tank and the Koralia for my frag tank. I liked the smaller size and the more angles with the Tunze and the flow is close to the same.

TUNZE is worth it, get the 6025 if you need more flow you can Mod it to get much more GPH.

I have no experience with Tunze but I do have a Koralia 1 and 2 and love them both. The only problem is you can't (I shouldn't say can't, but not recommended) use them with a wavemaker. Koralia's have a tendency to not start up if the power goes on and off. However, they do make Koralia's for wavemakers...

The Koralias are so large, I think theyre hideous. Go Tunze 6025s and mod them (just like GSM said). I have a couple 6045s and modded them, not sure what that put it at, but its some nice flow.

I don't think is fair to compare Tunze Nanostreams with Koralias. Quality and design wise Koralias can't compete with Tunze.
