Does any one use the protection/reducer cap on their korilias? if so do this change the flow of the ph?

i do and it does.

Flow by its self wont change PH in a direct way but could actually make it worse.

What size Koralias do you have?

the "snail gaurd" as they call it, restricts flow. i use it because it focuses the flow so that it can make it all the way accross my 6ft long tank.

Yes, talked to them, it focuses flow not as wide of a flow, but extends out further.
