L/F red yellow and blue

So..... just trying to plan some spots in my tank (there's less and less room!). I would really like to get a bit of these three colors.

For the yellow, I would really like a sun coral. I know these are non-photosynthetic, low-light corals. I have a medium shady spot picked out and I already spot feed my corals twice a week with coral frenzy. Would a sun coral do well in this environment?

For red - I saw a nice red chili coral today, but after a bit of reading, I'm thinking my tank might be too well lit - I don't have too much more shady space after the sun coral gets it's spot. But I've seen several pictures of red cynarina. I've not seen any in an lfs, but presumably they do exist :)
I'm thinking this might be a nice red addition - and they like to be kind of side-ways right? So a vertical position on against a rock will work?

Blue - here I'm thinking either zoos, or some sort of blue monti.

What do you guys think of these plans?
Any other suggestions?

Maybe I'm wrong but my Cynarina is on the sand bed and doing well. It seems to spread itself out more evenly if you keep it flat.
 
yes, they do exist.



they can get to be huge...i keep mine in check by placing it on rock...but ideally, they like to be on the sand and if given enough room can grow quickly in diameter. I have 3 cynarinas. i love them. but i will be moving them to the 120g to give them plenty of room. Have you thought about acans? some beauties in red. I have a huge pink lobo that i love also...that you can place anywhere.

 
i have a chili coral and i have a 250 watt mh rite above it, its fine, just opens up at night,

also if you plan on coming to the swap on saturday i actually will have zoa's avaliabe in in the 3 colors you mentioned

Yes - the three colors of zoos are on my list. I actually have rock dedicated for a zoo garden - it only has three types thus far :)

Looks like I'm going to have to pass on the cynarina coral - such a beautiful animal, but in a 29g DT, I don't think there's enough growth space.

Similar problem with the blue tort - it's an acro right? I have two small acro frags that are doing only so-so. They're encrusting and growing, but brownish....

Good to hear the chili coral is doing well in your tank, gmniel - I won't knock it off the list just let :)

Another blue idea...my wife loves the small blue cloves polyps, (Clavularia sp. I believe).
Now I know some people have had negative experience with their growth rate and being invasive, but it's an idea.

I forget who but someone here is getting rid of some lr with it on it.
 
suggestions:

red: Rock nems! If you can find a nice one, they are stunning to look at IMO. Kedds redds zoanthids also are a nice vibrant red.

Yellow: Fungia plates sometimes come in CRAZY bright yellow. yellow zoos are a bit harder to come across.

Blue: TRS blue hydno is some of the bluest coral around. tubs blue zoos are also nice.
 
Cynarina's , Acan's, Lobo's all come in a great wide variety of colors. As far as the tort goes and the SPS in your tank...

If it is encrusting that is a good thing. Given time it "MAY" color up, but there are brownish acro's out there. Some of my most colorful pieces I have now were at one time that Dull brown, Given time and the right conditions they will color up.

lobo suggestions: just picked up a rainbow lobo...i have miami hurricanes also...been eyeing an orange morph for awhile...just haven't found it yet.
