L/F used lighting 24-30"

Just like it says, I'd be interested in hearing if anyone has any T5HO fixtures for sale around Rochester. It's for a 20L so I could make a 24" fixture work, but 30" is preferred.

For the right price a 2 bulb would work for now(no corals yet), but I'd like a 4 bulb. I just need something to get by with till I plan out my LED project.

Thanks!

Pete

Hi Pete! Why don't you tell us a bit about your planned system and stocking list.

It's nice to know some background on people before they jump on the club forum asking for stuff ;)

*Just wanted to add that once you have fifty "meaningful" posts and been on for ninety days, which you have, you'll be able to view the Selling/buying forums.

This will be my first move into the saltwater arena. I've had aquariums all my life and most recently been keeping African cichlids. I've got a 90g Mbuna tank and a 40g with a large colony of Tanganyikan shell dwellers started from just a mated pair. (got plenty if anyone wants some! Neolamprologus Brevis)

I'm just looking to get a nice diverse reef going of mostly easy corals. I'm planning for max 4 fish at this point with at least one obligatory clown (6 and 3 y/o girls demand them) but nothing is set in stone. I'd also love to have a nice invert population with some shrimp and lots of snails.

At present the tank is up and running with 22lbs live/dry rock, 4 trochus, and 5 nassarius snails. Nowhere near completely cycled, but it was processing ammonia I had added in under a day before the snails went in. I've got a pair of 500gph powerheads and an AC110 fuge for flow and a 150w heater.

The lighting plan is to do DIY led's eventually but at this point all I have on it is an old 24" NO fixture I had laying around just to give it some light. I'll have to build a canopy too, my wife hates exposed lights.

If anyone has any more questions feel free to ask. I tend to be a bit of a lurker :)

Welcome to the wonderful addiction of salt water Pete!!!!!

reefgeek is a great place for retro kits if you don't find something used.

snap some pics of what you got so far.
