LA colored Malu

I recently placed an order for some fish from DD and picked up a few inverts from LA at the same time to get free shipping. They had H. Malu anemone in stock which I've always wanted(fatal attraction maybe) so I included one in the order. The only variety that they had in stock is labeled as "colored" with the picture representing them as being pale(almost white really) with bluish tips.

The specimen I recieved was good sized. A little over an inch diameter at the foot and 4 inches when inflated. It was fully inflated in the bag.

My question is regarding it's color. It's completely white. Not transparent bleached out white. Rather an opaque milky white. I don't see any coloring on the tentacle tips though. I've had a bit of a time getting it to settle in, but it seems stable at the moment. When I observe it from above it does have a tiny bit of off white to pinkish tint(but this maybe a trick of my lighting).

I haven't tried to feed it directly yet as most sources seem to recommend leaving them alone for a week. i have turkey basted some mysis bits at it's tentacles when I'm feeding the fish.

Tankmates; Ocellaris clown, Randall's prawn goby, randall's pistol shrimp, pink streaked wrasse, skunk cleaner shrimp, zebra hermit, porcelain anemone crab. With the exception of the anemone crab no one else pays any attention to it.

I'm worried I'll be able to get it to recover long term. I haven't read of much success of pulling malu back from completely white. I think I'm done buying anything sensitive from LA though and will stick to DD in the future.

Looks like it's taken a turn for the worse this morning. Mouth is open, not exactly gaping but opened too much. That and on one side the tentacles maybe 1/4 of the outer rim have deflated.

No. my QT doesn't have good enough lighting for a nem. Unless you're going to treat it with meds I don't see the point in QT one to begin with. It's unlikely to spread disease since there aren't any other anemones in the system.
