LA DD fish?

I looked at this one and another for awhile. Having a small meredithi, bicolor, and elbi it was off limits. I didnt want to torture the poor little guy with the other angels.
Glad ya got him Todd!!

Well, apparently, even though it was in my cart, and was there when I was checking out --- the total that was going to be charge to my credit card reflected it -- the fish isn't mine. Looking back, the confirmation page on LA's site was different then the email they sent me. Stupid me thought that since their site said that I would be receiving it, it would be the same as the email.

At least I wasn't charged for it, but that is minor. Right now I am pretty ticked off, my phone call to them really didn't help much.

Word of advice, if you see something you like, do NOT order anything else -- check out right away -- otherwise you will not get the item that you really wanted. What is really bothering me is that I have already sold things to make room for this guy.

Bummer.

So when you checked out everything indicated that you were buying the fish? Does that mean that sometime between the time you started check out and confirmed your order somebody else snagged it? If so... you can't be upset at LA, at least not with good reason. I can understand being upset with the situation and yourself for not checking out right away; I'd be really frustrated too. Maybe another one will come along...

I've learned that too - if you see something you really want, order it and pay immediately. If you hesitate, and it is a sought after animal, someone else will get it. I think it's fair, but it can be disappointing.

I finished checking out, put in my CC info and all that jazz -- the total that I was given included the fish (( also ordered a clam )). The confirmation page that is displayed after you hit submit showed that I was getting the clam AND the fish.

The email that came a couple of minutes later had only the clam. Since the confirmation page on LA's site indicated both, I didn't read the email.

So, after the confirmation page on their site and the email being site, it was given to someone else.

IMO, they should allow something to say in your cart for 10 minutes. Sure, after a set amount of time it should be cleared, but one would think that once you start the check out process it would stay in your cart.

But, then the confirmation page that is display on their site should reflect that you didn't get it in time. That is where I am having the issue. I could see hitting "check out" and it being gone, but it being gone after it was on the confirmation page is wrong -- at least IMO.

I can see how that would be disappointing but it truly is first come first served. It sounds like someone else beat you by minutes, or seconds.

If LA allowed the items to stay in your cart for any amount of time it would just make things more frustrating. Think through how that would actually play out on the site.. fish there, fish gone, is it sold or just in someone's cart? Wait around 10 minutes, fish still not there, is it sold or is it in someone else's cart? Etc etc. The way it is now seems to be the best for everyone, and fair.

And that I understand. What I have the issue with, it that I finished my transaction, hit submit, and that following page said that I had ordered it. I would have been fine if the page that follows the "submit" had said that I missed out on it, but it didn't, it indicated that it was mine.
