lamarck angel swimming listlessly

My lamarck angel has been in QT for one week with a full dose of cupramine (added over 3 days) and a full dose of prazipro added all at once at the beginning.

I just noticed today he/she is swimming very listlessly. seems to have little control of buoyancy or direction. My first instinct is to remove fish from all medicines and maybe lower salinity. Or should I try some other medicines? I do not notice any other external signs of disease.

Angels can be very sensitive to copper. If it were me I would remove the copper, let the fish recover and continue with tank transfer.

well, i feel dumb for not checking their sensitivity, but at least we know might the problem might be. I've got him/her in a qt with straight tank water since last night. symptoms seem to be gone.

Good to hear. If your looking to prophylactically treat for ich, I and many others, do TT in conjunction with Prazi (for flukes), the two most prevalent issues new fish (especially angels) can have. Followed by a month in a QT for observation and fattening up:) Good luck!

Sounds like a swim bladder infection, especially if there is swimming/buoyancy issues. You can attempt a anti-biotic. I would also run carbon and get rid of the copper for now. I have had genicanthus angels that have had the same type issues, and most times they don't make it.
