Large angel question...

I just purchased a Passer angel and he eats like a hog.He eats frozen mysis shrimp like theres no tomarrow. He also takes other frozen foods like angel formula, and formula one (as long as they are chopped into bite sized pieces.) Now for my question, I would like to see what other people are feeding their angels. (so that I can give him as varied diet as posible.) Also how much should I be feeding him per day to keep him healthy? I want to make sure that I am feeding him enough. right now he gets approx two to three cubes per day. Usualy two cubes of mysis shrimp and one cube of ethier angel formula or formula one, spread throughout the day. It should be noted that he is in with other fish (all smaller fish mostly damsels) and when he feeds (on a plastic "Mesh" feeding clip )about half of that feeds the other fish as well. I almost forgot to mention my passer is about six inches long. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Large angels are heavy feeders, no doubt on that one. The amount you are feeding sounds about right but it sounds like he is going to need some vegetable matter. I would give him a nori sheet to munch on everyday and feed formula two also. Over the years I have kept several large angels and here's what I feed mine now; PE mysis, nori, formula 1,2, angel formula, krill, fortified Brine, blood worms, and spectrum pellets (my flagfin goes nuts for this). Feed him a good variety twice a day and he will do well. If your angel starts getting a pinched look behind the head he isn't getting enough to eat or isn't getting proper nutrition.

I have an emperor and a regal and feed mysis, angel formula and spectrum pellets. I haven't had any luck with the nori sheets so I am going to try some spurlina flakes and possibly formula 2 pellets or frozen if they don't like the spurlina.

I swear spectrum pellets are like crack for fish. They are agressive feeders with the mysis and angel formula but all my fish go into a frenzy when the spectrum pellets hit the water.

I have a passer / koran / queen and i feed them the same as you but also i take frozen fresh mussels thaw them in a garlic / selcon mixture

Then i throw 3 of them in the tank in different locations. come back the next morning and the shells are empty i also soak my nori and all flake/pellet/frozen in garlic selcon mixture.
