I have a queen, juvenile imperator, blueface, sohal and a midas blenny in my 360 gallon aquarium.
They all get alone fine with the exception of the queen and blueface. Colors are too similar and there is a big size difference. Also, blueface was the last angel added. Most of the problems are during feeding time. Nothing too brutal, just the typical... get away from me and my food! The blueface was aggressive about getting his share of food up until a week ago. Some odd reason he doesnt swim too far from his cave now. Would like to see him eat more. Thankfully, he has not shown any signs of thinning out or health problems. No color change. Not sure if its just a phase or the queen seriously scared him. He has always been a bit shy (common for blueface angels) but would manage to get his share of food. Hope he soon gains enough courage to come out again more often.
The queen is without a doubt the boss of the tank. She eats like a royal pig. The imperator and sohal are just a bit smaller but can hold their own. The imperator has two advantages to helping it from getting picked on... color/shape diffrence and its loud "gunt" noisy. If others are a pest to him, he simply "gunts" and they usually swim away. The sohal is about the same same size as the queen. They are completely different in appearance and for the most part are pals. They swim together and seem to enjoy each others presence. Their fishship has actually taken some of the stress off in the tank. Sohal gives the queen a run for her title as boss. This keeps the queen occupied and under control. Don't think it really matter to the sohal whos boss, as long as he gets enough food. Also, a big pig!!
The tank is for sale. PM if interested. Plan to upgrade to a even larger aquarium. Would like to keep these fish thoughout their life span. Eventually, 360 will be too small!
