Large fish suggestions

I just got a new tank-a 315 gallon (72 x 28 x 36 tall). It had a center overflow in it and I just removed it because it is going to be set against the wall. After I get the new external overflow built, I want to set the tank up as a FO with large size fish. I would like puffer(s), angel(s) etc. Anyone want to make suggestions?

Nice tank, though a bit on the tall side for me.

I'd stock that tank with my favorites:

emperor angel
mimic tang or foxface lo
Australian harlequin tuskfish
dogface puffer (one of the unusual color morphs, like dalmation)
Assasi triggerfish or a pair of blue throat triggers

maybe:
trio of bannerfish (Heniochus) if appropriate w/ tankmates

I'd maybe try another large angel, OR a pair of Genicanthus angels OR two different dwarf angels (coral beauty and flame angel)

if I had very mellow trigger(s), I'd consider a tasseled filefish or take a chance with a volitan lionfish.

I'd put in a Foxface, Queen Angel, Emperor Angel, Sohal Tang, Powder Blue Tang, Crosshatch Trigger, Humu Humu Trigger, Porcupine Puffer (or Gold Puffer), Australian Harlequin Tusk. But those are just some of my favorites.

Leave yourself plenty of space on the bottum and get a port jackson shark...aswome fish to have n your aquarium!

Koralkid,

I'm no expert on sharks, so I could be wrong, but don't Port Jackson sharks get 3-4 feet long, and require a chiller to keep the water in the 60s? The footprint of that 315 seems way too small to me for that species, even though they are not all that active.

I'd think you'd want at least an 8 or 10 foot long tank, with a width of at least 3 feet.

The bigger my tanks get, the more quickly I can see their limitations. I don't think I'll ever have a tank that's big enough...
