Large in wall tanks

Would be great to see some pictures of the various in-wall tanks that have access from the front side. I have to figure out a way to access the tank from both sides without taking away from the room. Construction begins on Monday.

I originally was not going to access the tank from the front but being 36" wide it will be hard to get to things without being able to see on the front side if I have to attempt it from the back side.

Great ideas are appreciated.

Here is my old 260. Had front access panels from the front above the tank. The closet shown to the left had rear access and the sump was located in the basement. Worked out well.

here is my 600g inwall. No front access, it is 36" deep and all work is done from the back. Pretty simple once you get used to it.

What are the dimensions of that tank? Very nice. You do not have a problem getting to the front to move anything? Is your light system movable?

Thanks

The tank is 120x36x30. The lighting is manually movable. I hung the T5 units 10" odd the top of the tank so I could access everything easily.

I don't have issues getting to the front as I have an 8' ladder in there that I use to maneuver. My stand is 42" so the total height if the tank is 72".

I bought the extension arm for my Kent scraper and my vacuum head is 36".

Perhaps this might give a better visual of what I did on my last set up. Barn door rails over my 420. If you have the room behind the tank to move the lights out of the way these worked great!

I have a 350g display that is about 36" deep with only back access. You need a long pair of tongs to reach things in the front and get it set-up as you like.

Thanks Tom...I plan on doing a light rail and that looks great. I appreciate the pictures. I am going to do something very similar. I had someone send me this from my local reef club and this is what I plan on doing to keep the asthetics of the room.

Here is my 375g build (in progress). I decided to do without trim around the tank, and I'm only going to use J-channel (painted to match the wall color).

For photography purposes (remote and slave flashes), I plan to put access doors on hinges. This will give me access to the top of the tank from the front while still providing a minimalist look.
