LARGE LPS Colonies

Not my tank, but one I have been taking care of for the past 7 years...

Pectina sp. not terribly colorful, but its size and mature shape make it beautiful, it is in a 240 to give you a size reference...

this will be an awesome thread if people will start posting pics!! im pretty sure that Pectina sp is as big as my whole tank!

wow...my favorite coral is definitely the spiny cup (pectinia). that pic just made my jaw hit the floor. just amazing

Here's another one...The Yellow Tang is about 5"...this is a 150 gallon. The Galaxea sp. coral has grown over the course of 8 years, from your typical fist sized piece...

Dang everything in this tank is huge!! That clam is like a basketball and those blue mushrooms are popping off everywhere..must be doing something right!

Kegogut post a pic of hammer. I have one with bout 10 heads and a bunch of small heads around the base. Taken forever to grow. How long have you had it and what size was it when you started?

Here it is. Its about the size of two fists. Ive had this tank up for about 10 months so i guess Ive have this guy for 6-8 months, hes gone from 5 heads to 16 at last count.

This guy only has 6 heads or so but he expands a good 9 inches longer when flowing like he does. The foxface in the pic is about 4 inches

Yea that's a good size hammer! Ive had mine for bout 7 months but all I see new is lil ting heads by popping up around the bases. Kegogut is that how yours started producing new heads?
