Does anyone know where i can find something like this locally?

I would also like it to be cheaper :) If you haven't noticed i tend to go overboard when i do things. I am trying to make a tubing bender that will help me to make a 12"(or close) diameter coil with 3/8" titanium tubing. for the 60 bucks that is going to cost me i could probably pay someone to bend it for me. But i would like to try to do it myself. This pulley seems perfect, but i would at least like to see it in person before buying it. thanks

Had you asked me 2 weeks ago i would have had one that size off of a washing machine. I just threw it out 2 weeks ago after sitting here for a month :( Ill see if i can hunt something down at work.

Thanks chris that would be awesome if you find something. What i like about this pulley is that it's made for 3/8" rope so the tubing might fit snug in the grooze which would really limit the chance of a kink. but i wont know for sure without seeing it and i'm not willing to spend that kinf od money. I assume something from an old washing machine, or even a car might work.

I just looked up pics of washing machine pulleys and they look they could be pretty perfect. I'm going to have to start looking for washing machines in the trash.

The problem is that i want a 12" radius. I have a bender but it only makes a tight radius. I also have a spring bender, but all that does is make the bends little more even and prevents kinking.

I think i am going to cut a 12" disk out of 3/4" mdf. Then i'm going to route a 3/8" half radius all around the perimeter. That will give me a nice snug groove and a nice round 12" radius for the price of...... Free

And fishfiend, thanks for the offer. But i actualy want to keep the radius around 10-12". And i really want something that the 3/8" tubing will fight in tight to prevent kinks.

So here is the Bender i am trying to fabricate. My plan is to attach the small block to a long strip of MDF about 3 feet long. Then i will drill a hole in the center of the disk and through the long strip. I'll put a bolt through the hole so i can spin the handle and it SHOULD bend the tubing nicely around the 12" disk.

2 problems.....

I'm trying to figure out how to perfectly find the center of the disk.

And once i go 360 degrees how do i start the second coil. I'm hoping i can pull the first half of the bend out of the channel and just keep going. we will find out.
