No its not powdered it is a liquid the product is made by seachem and is called "reef calcium". It will state that it has calcium polygluconate in it. Most of the online places should sell it. From what I understand it is a form of calcium that is not as suitable for coral uptake but will grow coralline very well. I add about a quarter cup per week to each 400 gallon tub. It is not a necessary product at all just grows coralline well which I like growing on my plugs
I use kalkwasser and calcium chloride for the majority of my calcium and baked baking soda for carbonates.
Mag is tested once every other month or so but rarely has to be adjusted typically stays around 1200-1300. systems have very large regular water changes due to fragging baths and shipping.
