I don't know how things work in Denmark, but in The Great Country of The United States of America we are able to purchase and own property, physical property and internet property. Reef Central is the property of some person or group and they are allowed to make and enforce rules, any rules. I too am bummed by the loss of the thread, and don't fully understand the reasoning, but I choose to participate in Reef Central, because it benefits me. I can't afford the time, money or energy to learn all I can learn here, so I follow the rules, and let the rule makers make the decisions. Think about it.

at least beerguy explains that the origional poster wanted it closed i didnt know that thats why i was angy i dont expect to control RC but explanation is nice ANY MODS READING DONT YOU THINK AN EXPLANATION WOULD BE FAIR like instead of just closing the thread say this is closed because GSMguy wont let the REEFZILLA issue die and so now we are banning him and will not be letting him come back

P.S. i really dont want to be banned that would be wholy unfair when the whole site depends of opinion. and ideas

We understand the objections many of you have to the closure of the thread in question. However, Reef Central has a long-standing policy of not allowing threads to remain open that discuss a former member. There are several reasons for this, and the one of the reasons is to protect Reef Central from threats of litigation. For those of you asking why this "can't be worked out", those questions should best be forwarded to the former member in question. As of this point, he has made no request for reinstatement, nor have any issues that led to his dismissal been resolved.

i assumed those posts by "bill" were fake.. none of them really presented any new information and i just assumed it was someone playing a joke...

how do you know those posts were actually bills and not someone messing around...?

Perhaps this could be the subject of the next RC poll? I think you'll find that the vast majority of the RC community really want to see this tank to completion. After nearly being banned yesterday for a comment I made, I've thought long and hard about this, and if banning me for speaking my mind (by making a generalized statement - not even stating what my gripe was in regard to) then I think I don't want to be a part of this "community". I know this is a private message board, and the same rules of decency and respect don't necessarily have to apply, but shouldn't a message board that is based in the United States of America at least embrace simple inalienable rights such as free speech? If Spazz really wanted this thread closed, then so be it- but we've yet to see him post again for almost 24 hours now- so I'm eagerly awaiting a reply from him giving his side of this story.
If this posting leads to my banning, then so be it- it's been a fun time these last several years- I've learned a lot, and hope that the sharing of my experiences have helped others. But I cannot help but think that if I am banned for speaking my mind, then perhaps others should re-evaluate their participation in a community that doesn't share the same values that they do. I wish the mods the best of luck in resolving this issue.
